Join Games [4Diversity] at Vienna Pride 2023

We are thrilled to announce that we will be returning to the Vienna Rainbow Parade in 2023, and we want YOU to join us! Our group of queer game developers and allies will walk proudly along the Ringstrasse under the slogan “Making video gaymes with pride!”

We believe in diversity and inclusivity in the gaming industry and are determined to showcase that the world of gaming isn’t just for white, heterosexual, cisgender men. Our goal is to represent and celebrate diversity in the game development world, and we invite everyone to join our cheerful group on the 17th of June!

We will be challenging gender norms in video game characters by asking important and thought-provoking questions. For example, what if Mario comes out of the closet and Peach has kickass fighting skills? What if Sonic the Hedgehog deals with gender dysphoria? What if Kirby shows off its curvy body by wearing a tight bodysuit?

By asking these questions, we aim to raise awareness and push for queer storylines to be included in video games. We believe that it’s time for the gaming industry to catch up with important and sometimes uncomfortable topics. We encourage everyone to join us, no matter what gender or orientation you identify with.
